MAKE MISTAKES

It feels like I am learning film photography all over again. The world seems to be craving little slices of 35mm and gorgeous blown-up 120 film, this is a good thing. It is cutting out so much crap seeing young photographers learn a craft rather from a school of Instagram filters. Don’t get me wrong, that insta movement was important but this new shift into the basics of the craft feels important. It is nice to know in another ten years time we will see new greats that have done their homework, fully.

I have been messing around with pushing different ISO stocks, seeing how low I can do and how far I can push it. These are covered in imperfections but that is what learning is right, making as many mistakes as needed to get to where you want to be, then when you are there it almost feels natural.
